Each year at our Main Event sites, we book classic, antique, muscle, sports, and special interest cars of all types to be part of the main... Over 250,000 attendees have enjoyed the event in recent years with an estimated 15,000 cars participating.
These sites will be smaller, more specialized, and offer easier access than the Main Event sites at Woodland Mall and Rogers Plaza. “The Wyoming Police Department is committed to providing a safe environment during the event for all to enjoy,” said Koeller. Eventgoers can expect to see WYPD in marked police vehicles, police motorcycles, on bicycles, and on foot. This year, a couple of new opportunities are available for car enthusiasts in attendance.
The West Michigan Mustang Club will be set up at the Oakestown-Borgman Pit Stop location with food, entertainment and more. Bring your own chairs, umbrellas, and blankets, to sit along 28th Street to watch the passing classic and muscle cars. If you are visiting Miami Beach, the best time is between March and May. You will find sunny days and comfortable temperatures hovering between the high 70s and low 80s. Changes to flight details are the responsibility of the guest and must be re-entered into Online Check-In no later than two days prior to their cruise. Located at the Dodge Island north part are terminals B/C, D, E , F, G, on the west is terminal H (V) and on the south – terminal J. The luxury market is operated by cruise terminal J - facility made to look like a boutique.

They have to be, as they need to accommodate over 6.8 million cruise passengers and their luggage in a speedy, secure and efficient manner! The port deals with 55 different cruise ships from 22 different cruise lines each year. Alternatively, you can arrange for a shuttle or taxi to take you to the port. Carnival has several ships that depart from the Port of Miami, including the Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic, and Carnival Sensation. Each ship offers a unique experience, but all of them have plenty of amenities and entertainment options. From delicious dining options to exciting activities like water parks and casinos, there’s something for everyone on a Carnival Cruise. If you’re traveling to the port from out of town, you can take advantage of Carnival’s airport transfer service, which will transport you from the airport to the port in comfort and style.
What services are there in the port terminals?
Port Miami has 11 cruise terminals although several are currently under construction. The easiest way to transfer to and from the port from Miami Airport is to book a shuttle service with your cruise line. There is a private Express Shuttle company providing shared rides which must be booked in advance. Known as “The Crown of Miami” this cruise terminal is operated by RCI in collaboration with Miami-Dade County.
Seasonal ship relocations (RepositionCruises.com) include Panama Canal transits from Florida to Alaska in late Spring. The itineraries end either in California ports or in the turnaround ports for Alaskan roundtrip from Vancouver BC or Seattle WA. In 2017 started discussions for turnaround operations by vessels of Virgin Voyages and NCL-Norwegian. However, Carnival Cruise Line remained the Port’s largest customer (2+ million passengers in 2017). Some popular destinations for Carnival cruises from Miami include the Caribbean, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Be sure to check your itinerary or contact Carnival for specific destination information.
In late-October 2019 was approved the agreement for Brightline Miami to be rebranded "Virgin Trains" and Virgin Group to build a train station (Virgin Trains PortMiami) at the cruise port. The new station serves high-speed trains and connects PortMiami directly with the USA's intercity railway system and Orlando International Airport. Construction works on Virgin Trains PortMiami are scheduled for completion in 2022. On May 4, 2018, from Barcelona were delivered two large passenger boarding bridges. Tailor-made for "Terminal F’", each bridge is 2-ton and 4-sectioned (telescopic), with length 32 m (105 ft).
New improvements meet the silver standard for eco-efficiency and green practices and include new boarding bridges directly onto the ship. This terminal meets LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification standards for green ratings at a total investment cost of $7 million. Terminal B is in the final stages of completion at a cost of $239 million with expected completion in 2021. It will have a dedicated waiting lounge, bar lounge, service area and dedicated parking garage with optional valet service. Not to be outdone, Miami Cruise Terminal B is in the final stages of constructing a new state-of-the-art terminal serving Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL).
The Port of Miami is home to several cruise lines, including Carnival Cruise Line, which operates a number of ships from the port. Carnival offers a range of itineraries from Miami, including short cruises to the Bahamas and longer voyages to the Caribbean and beyond. Once you have completed the check-in and security process, you will be directed to the appropriate waiting area to board your cruise ship. Keep an eye on the boarding announcements and follow the instructions provided by the terminal staff. Upon arrival, passengers will find a spacious and well-organized check-in area. There are numerous check-in counters and self-service kiosks to minimize waiting times.
Each terminal is assigned to one or more cruise companies and their respective ships. It is important to know which terminal corresponds to you according to your cruise to get to the right place and avoid delays or confusion. After collecting luggage, guests should proceed to Customs and into the Arrivals area.
Located on Dodge Island, PortMiami is in sheltered Biscayne Bay just a short sail from the Atlantic Ocean. The port handles a vast amount of cargo and containers as well as cruise ships. The cruise terminals are about 8 miles (25 mins) from Miami International Airport (MIA) and 25 miles (45 mins) from Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL). Miami is also among the most fortunate ports where newest cruise ships make show-off visits and many schedule inaugural homeporting seasons. Port's facilities are among the most modern, providing easy processing and boarding. PortMiami serves 20+ cruise companies and 60+ different passenger ships.
While Haven guests can enjoy the rest of the ship, other passengers can’t enter The Haven. Now if you’re from Texas then BBQ on a cruise ship may either be sacrilege or a welcome taste of home. No matter where you’re from though, it’s worth a stop to the Q Texas Smokehouse on the Encore. It’s a specialty restaurant, so you’ll want to make reservations and will have to pay a little extra to eat here. Later in the evening it turns into a honky-tonk with dancing and a band playing. Have a backup plan, but go ahead and head down to the restaurant anyway and see if there is any room to seat you.
Deck Twelve
Separate salon and barber shop facilities are also available for haircuts, shaves, manicures, pedicures and other extra-cost services. A water park area on decks 16 and 17 features four waterslides (two of which are for kids and are part of a children's splash area). The two larger slides have height requirements — 48 inches for Ocean Loops (which has ridiculous bathing suit requirements and weight minimums so riders don't get stuck on the uphill portion) and 40 inches for the Aqua Racer. Los Lobos was my least favorite of the extra-fee venues I tried. I was extra sad because Mexican food is one of my favorite cuisines. I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh guacamole, which our waiter prepared tableside, but the tortilla chips were too salty.

The line pioneered "Freestyle" cruising, which means you can wear just about whatever you'd like whenever and wherever you'd like. If needed, sign language interpreters are available at no additional charge when requested at least 90 days in advance. The onboard shops, which are clustered on Deck 8, sell everything from snacks, toiletries and logo apparel to designer purses and duty-free jewelry, cigarettes and alcohol. Atrium activities like movie screenings (when the weather is too chilly for films to be shown on the outdoor screen), daily sudoku puzzles, singalongs and "Deal or No Deal" are also popular. Evening shows include Broadway-caliber musicals, comedians, magicians and more.

During my sailing, I saw a few things that made little sense. On the first night, my travel companion and I checked out the Levity Comedy show in the main theater. It was decent, but when we went to the Social Comedy Club a couple nights later to see the same two comedians perform, only one had new material to share. Laser tag is a unique activity aboard Norwegian that you don’t want to miss if you have kids.

The hangers were the wooden kind that don't have hooks at the top — the ones with metal rods that lock into permanent mounting hardware so people can't steal them. I find that they always make hanging anything more cumbersome. The closet didn't have enough hangers for all our clothing, so I asked my cabin steward for a few extras. He brought me the cheap plastic kind, which left bumps in the shoulders of my shirts. The oddly placed closet, which ran the length of the wall on one side of the bed, offered two sides for storage — one with a bar to hang clothes and another with shelving for shoes, hats or items you'd like to fold. It also contained a code-operated safe for small valuables.
But remember there are some big challenges to eating outdoors on a cruise ship. During the day the sun can be brutal if you are in the tropics. And if the ship is underway, then there is a constant breeze. On the Encore, Norwegian has smartly designed outdoor eating areas to take care of these issues while still keeping your view of the open water intact.
A modern Mexican restaurant is named Los Lobos (2016-debuted on Norwegian Dawn). Adjacent to Los Lobos is The A-List Bar, serving handcrafted cocktails, premium spirits and wines. In comparison to NCL Breakaway-class, the 4000-passenger ship Norwegian Encore has an expanded The Haven - "ship within a ship" leisure concept. There is an outdoor terrace, private restaurant, courtyard area covered with a retractable roof, swimming pool, whirlpools, spa treatment rooms, sauna, private sundeck. Other differences from the Breakaway-class are more Haven Suites, Penthouses, Spa Suites, Studios (single cabins). If you have a dining package, you can select four items per person.

The crabcakes and lobster tail were phenomenal, and the intimate setting and elevated decor gave the space an upscale ambience. Built in 2019, the Norwegian Encore cruise ship weighs 168K tons and has 2043 staterooms for up to 4903 passengers served by 1731 crew.
