We have been matching holiday guests with private vacation rental homes, chalets, and condos for short term and long term lodging since 1994. We have private owners too with 46 holiday caravans and 9 holiday lodges but that section of the park is completely separate. The picturesque lake is ideal for beginners as well as experienced kayakers. We’re sorry, the self-catering cottage is a pet free accommodation. Telephone bookings are accepted using most debit/credit cards. There’s no loud music allowed at any time – we are not a music festival and for some guest’s loud music can spoil their peace and relaxation. We cater primarily for families, couples and singles, and have a ‘all quiet after 11pm’ rule so that everyone can enjoy a quiet night’s sleep.

The simple way to search for property to buy or rent. Bassenthwaite is the only body of water in the Lake District National Park to have the word ‘lake’ in its name. Guests can normally check into our camping fields from 2pm. If you or any of your party have symptoms of a fever, a new continuous cough or loss of taste or smell you must not holiday at the park and return home. All of the touring pitches come with 10amp electric supply. In Haweswater Reservoir you can expect to find Brown Trout, with an average size of inches.

Our Cottage is situated on a quiet street just 2 minutes walk from the heart of Windermere. You will find the tranquility of The Lake District hand in hand with the convenience of a popular quaint bustling town centre. Windermere is a compact town, easily accessible to all and offers a range a welcoming pubs, cafes and shops. The Cottage has been newly refurbished and furnished to provide modern comfort but with a nod to the traditional era in which the cottage was built. Upstairs, the cottage provides 2 comfortable bedrooms, a twin room and large double with king size bed and walk in wardrobe. Both rooms offer top of the range bedding, pillows and mattresses to ensure guests enjoy comfortable night sleep during their stay.

Brand new for 2021, a four bedroomed, two bathroom, plus downstairs cloakroom, with open plan kitchen/bar/dining/seating room straight out to enclosed south facing garden with lockable storage shed. Kingsize with en-suite, two double bedrooms plus two large singles in the fourth bedroom, pushed together making a superking sleeping option. Kitchen has all amenities including fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, hob, filter coffee machine, espresso machine, crockery and glasses for all occasions. Indoor table seats eight plus a large outdoor table and chairs with BBQ and charcoal. Separate lounge for evening unwinding with plush comfy sofas, Smart TV .
Do bare in mind though that there is a limit of maximum 10 boats/boards in the water at a time. There is no lake access nearby, as the land is privately owned. SUP Paddleboarding, Kayaking and Canoeing are unfortunately not allowed in Haweswater Reservoir because it supplies drinking water to much of the north west. We have both electric and non electric camping area. Our non electric camping area is located on ‘Fellside’ and is not allocated.

It is about 1 min walk to the swing bridge and harbour and 5 mins walk to the beach. The Ex Fishermans cottage is believed to date from 1616 and is kept spotlessly clean by our professional cleaners. It has been upgraded to include 1 Large twin bedroom and one double bedroom on the top floor. The shower room and Toilet is on the first floor.
